We will walk you through how to submit most of your forms through the mail or online. However, due to U.S. identification laws, updating your driver’s license will still require a trip to the DMV, and first-time passport applicants are required to submit their application in person.

Updating your driver’s licenses will require a fee (varies by state) that is around $10-$35. Updating your passport or applying for a new passport will require a $110 fee paid directly to the State Department. The majority of the other name change updates require no extra fees.
